Care homes and assisted living for foreign retirees, sorted by country. We list only homes we have checked: the licence in the official register where one exists, public reviews and published prices. Choose a country to see its homes.
How we choose the homes
- Licence: where the country has a public register, we look up the home and show the date of our check.
- Reviews: we look for public reviews without a pattern of complaints. Where we show stars, we also show how many reviews they come from.
- Foreign residents: the home accepts residents from abroad.
- Prices: we show only prices the home publishes or has confirmed to us, with the month.
- Independent: homes cannot pay to be listed, and we receive no money from them.
Europe and Latin America
We are checking care homes in Portugal, Spain and the other European countries we cover, and in Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Belize. They will appear here once the homes are verified. Until then, see our care abroad overview and the country pages for current information.
Are you a care home?
A listing is free and cannot be bought. If your home accepts residents from abroad, write to us with your licence or registration number and your current prices, and we will check your home like every other.
